AMOBLO Furniture
Association
We drive the value chain of the Wood, Furniture, and Related Sectors in Colombia, promoting their development and active, inclusive participation.
About Us
We are a grassroots social organization, associative in nature and non-profit, made up of artisans, individuals, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the Wood, Furniture, and Related Value Chain in Colombia.
The AMOBLO Furniture Association was born out of the need to foster change in the challenging, unequal, and ever-evolving environment in which companies in this sector operate. Its purpose, among others, is to promote active and inclusive participation and implement innovative practices that enhance and boost development, regardless of company size, economic capacity, or formalization status.
The AMOBLO Productive Cities Initiative* promoted by the association is a high-impact, productive, inclusive, and sustainable model that respects territorial vocation and merges craftsmanship, technology, and innovation. Its goal is to energize, strengthen, and transform the dynamic structure of the Wood, Furniture, and Related Sectors, while generating a positive impact in the social, environmental, and economic spheres of the operating territories.

Productive Cities Model

The AMOBLO Productive Cities Initiative* is a high-impact, innovative, productive, and sustainable model characterized by its ability to adapt and be replicated across different productive sectors.
The first AMOBLO Productive City was launched in the Atlántico Department, Colombia, focusing on the potential, social dimension, and territorial vocation of productive units in the region’s Wood, Furniture, and Related Sectors.
Its implementation enhances and strengthens the dynamic structure of the sector in all dimensions and positively influences key areas such as employment generation, innovation, sustainability, diversity, and gender equality.
This model interconnects, articulates, specializes, synchronizes, and standardizes—through advanced technologies—all links of the Wood, Furniture, and Related value chain within a specific region.
Three (3) core pillars:
1. Technology Development Centers (TDCs)
Specialized centers from SENA (National Learning Service), adapted as Research, Development, and Innovation (R\&D\&I) hubs.
2. Productive Development Centers (PDCs)
Sector production units and value chain companies, located in the same territory, efficiently transformed and adapted to new production processes to develop a product, process, or part of it. These are aligned as circular and socially responsible businesses.
3. International Marketing Center (IMC)
A national and international marketing and commercialization hub for the products developed within the Productive City.
